In Your Hands by Alice Nicholls

Alice Nicholls is an expressive portrait artist, using primarily colour pencils and acrylic paint to create large-scale artworks of hands. Hands are said to be the second most expressive part of the body next to the face, and Alice has used this to create a new twist on a classic portrait.

Alice's In Your Hands collection is an exploritive project highlighting the life experiences of neurodivergent people. Through conversation and recorded interviews, Alice has made a set of artworks to reflect what she has learned. When discussing the varied journeys of everyday people and celebrity personalities, you discover their neurodivergent stories begin to connect. Each person has an individual account, but the common denominator is where change is still needed and how the inclusion conversation is meaningful in society to create opportunity and awareness.
